Though the Black Pearl is open seven days a week, it is seasonally closed from January through mid-February.

Newport Blues Cafe - 286 Thames Street, 401-841-5510, As well as wonderful Blues music, this restaurant and club offers four levels, including the downstairs “vault” with a pool table, the function the room, the main level, and an upstairs lounge; the menu includes a wide range of American dishes and seafood specialties.
22 Bowen's - Bowen's Wharf Phone: 401-841-8884. Located on the waterfront in the heart of historic downtown Newport, Rhode Island. Serving prime beef, New England's finest seafood, 35 wines by the glass and over 500 labels on their wine list, visit them and enjoy "a little bit of tenderness".
Whitehorse Tavern - 26 Marlborough Street, 401-849-3600, The White Horse is famous for being America's longest operating tavern, opened in 1697. Elegant, long traditional dining in historic, colonial surroundings. Fireplaces in the cooler months are wonderful. American cuisine nicely prepared. Consistently good service. Reservations essential on weekends.
